Eben Horton~ Guest Artist

"The work that I have chosen to make for this show is inspired by The Glass Float Project; a project that I created in 2013 to bring public awareness of the natural beauties of Block Island. The pieces that you see in this show are like the big brothers and sisters of the humble clear orbs that I hide around the island. The main difference is that I have taken great care in designing the colors, surface textures, sizes and shapes to challenge my skills as a glass maker to their limits."

Eben Horton has been blowing glass since 1989. He has attended the School for American Crafts, Penland School of Crafts and has taught at the Corning Museum of Glass. He currently owns The Glass Station Studio and Gallery, in Wakefield RI which he started in 2000.
